Every collection tells a story. Ours begins at the water’s edge — on the terraces, harbors, and sun-warmed promenades of the Mediterranean coast. These are the five places that shaped the aesthetic, the palette, and the spirit of 1988 Summer Club.
1. Naples, Italy
Naples is where the Mediterranean soul lives in its rawest, most authentic form. The city pulses with energy — the seafront promenade of Lungomare, the volcanic drama of Vesuvius on the horizon, the trattorias spilling onto cobblestone streets. It is a place of deep color and deep character. Our richest navy tones and most structured cuts draw from Naples — a city that dresses with pride and wears it without apology.
2. Monaco, France
Monaco is precision made physical. The harbor lined with superyachts, the immaculate streets, the sense that every detail has been considered. It is a place where understated luxury is the only currency that matters. Our most refined pieces — the tailored polo, the clean-lined tee — belong to Monaco. Dressed down enough to feel effortless, dressed up enough to belong.
3. Positano, Italy
There is nowhere quite like Positano in July. The houses cascade down the cliffside in shades of terracotta and cream, the water is an impossible shade of blue, and everyone seems to be dressed with effortless precision. It was here that we understood what it means to dress for a place — not just for an occasion. The slim-cut polo, worn with linen trousers and leather sandals, belongs to Positano.
4. Saint-Tropez, France
Saint-Tropez taught us about confidence. The harbor at golden hour, the yachts, the unhurried pace of people who dress well because they enjoy it — not because they are trying to impress. Our navy pieces were born here. Clean, direct, and quietly assured.
5. Mykonos, Greece
White. Everywhere, white. The architecture, the light, the linen. Mykonos is where our commitment to a restrained palette was confirmed. Against that backdrop, a single well-chosen piece — a white polo, a stone-colored shirt — becomes everything. Excess has no place here.
The Collection
These destinations are not just inspiration — they are a standard. Every piece in the 1988 Summer Club collection is designed to belong in these places, and to carry that spirit wherever you take it.
